CM at Risk

Under a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract, Centennial acts as a consultant and team member during the development of the design phase by providing pricing, constructability reviews, logistics planning, safety planning, and construction management. We will also develop and administer bid packages, manage labor, and provide project budget and schedule management and overall project coordination.

Centennial’s comprehensive CMAR services and approach integrate the functions of design and construction to achieve a balance of cost, quality, and schedule. Our flexible CM at risk partnerships are accustomed to working on both large and small projects with aggressive schedules. Our highly-skilled team is committed to working with clients to provide the earliest possible project completion, reduce various costs, and assure timely occupancy.

Our CM at risk team works diligently and closely with our clients to provide the best possible management, procurement, and costs controls – without compromising performance and quality.

A library renovation and addition project, Mary Riley Styles Library is a LEED Silver certified project featuring a two-story, 6,849-square-foot addition that brings the total size of the facility to 25,727-square-feet. Improvements include a new entrance on the corner of Park and Virginia avenues, dedicated youth sections on the lower level, consolidated adult collection on the main floor, expanded conference rooms, an enhanced Falls Church History Room, accessibility upgrades, and completely updated interiors throughout.  Centennial worked closely with the client and the architect to successfully complete this new state of the art library.
